Welcome to ClosetX (the “App”), developed and operated by Sichuan Origin Matrix Technology Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We prioritize your privacy.

This policy explains how we handle your information. Key Update: To support multi-device synchronization and AI-enhanced features (e.g., AI background removal), the App has transitioned from local-only storage to a Cloud-Sync model.

2. Information We Collect

a. Account Data: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we collect your Name, Email Address, and Unique User ID (OpenID) for authentication.

b. Cloud Storage Data: To enable backup and multi-device access, your clothing photos, outfit combinations, tags, and notes are encrypted and uploaded to our secure cloud servers.

c. AI Processing Data: When you use the “AI Background Removal” feature, we process the selected image on our servers. Unless explicitly stated, these images are used solely to generate the result and are not used to train general AI models.

d. Diagnostic and Error Data: To maintain app stability and improve performance, we collect diagnostic information, such as crash logs, error reports, and performance data generated during app usage. This data may include device model, operating system version, app state at the time of the error, and technical logs. It does not include content from your photos, account passwords, or information intended to directly identify you.

3. How We Use Your Information

Account Authentication: To verify your identity and secure your data access.
Cloud Synchronization: To ensure your wardrobe data remains consistent across all your logged-in devices.
AI Functionality: To provide high-precision image segmentation (background removal) via cloud-based algorithms.
Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries via your provided email address.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted partners necessary for service delivery:

Authentication: Apple Inc. and Google LLC.
Cloud Infrastructure:
- Cloudflare – for photo storage and content delivery
- Neon – for structured database records
Error Monitoring and Diagnostics:
- Sentry – used to collect crash reports and diagnostic data for application stability and performance monitoring.

Sentry processes diagnostic data on servers located in the United States. We rely on Sentry’s contractual and technical safeguards to protect this information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

5. Account Deletion and Data Retention

Account Deletion: You may delete your account via the App settings. Upon request, we will permanently erase your account identity from our servers.
Cloud Data Removal: Deleting your account will trigger the permanent deletion of your cloud-stored photos and records. Note: Data cached locally on your device must be removed by uninstalling the App or clearing the cache manually.
